Certificate IV in Youth Work
Youth Work

This nationally accredited course will give you the necessary skills and knowledge to work with children and youth in relevant areas of child protection, youth justice and supported accommodation systems. You will learn to provide care, protection and support services to young people. You will develop case-planning and communication skills, and learn to facilitate cooperative behaviour. You will also receive an introduction to mental health work and the alcohol and drugs sector, and gain advanced first aid skills.

Job Pathways
This course may provide you with employment opportunities in; residential services, supported housing services, youth justice facilities and educational facilities in roles such as:-
- Community development worker
- Residential Youth activities worker
- Residential care worker
- Youth and family services officer
- Youth Case worker
- Youth housing support worker
