An Advanced Diploma of Music will add a vital element to your music performance career. The course is designed to develop the musical, entrepreneurial, research and technical skills required in the contemporary industry. This course is taught by respected industry professionals and highly-skilled musicians at GMEC. This course is unique as it combines technology with music to create a new type of course. Learn how to play, perform, and record.

Course Outline
The Advanced Diploma consists of 15 Units of Competence which include:
· Music Composition
· Music Literacy
· Music Performance
· Management
· Electronic Composition
· Aural-perception skills
· Harmony
· Provide instrumental or vocal tuition
· Produce sound recordings (Record in GMEC STUDIOS!)

Further Learning Opportunities
· Deakin Associate Degree of Arts (year 1 can be completed at GMEC)

Course Duration
10 months

Entrance Requirements
All potential applicants are required to attend a pre-training interview, fill out an application form and pay an application fee prior to course commencement.
· Cert. IV Music (also available at GMEC), reducing
the course duration to 1 year for Adv. Dip.
· Basic computing skills.
· Competence in at least one instrument or voice.
· Attend a musical or vocal audition
