Diploma of Sound Production

A natural progression from Cert IV Sound Production. This course would also interest the experienced sound
engineer. Focused, hands-on training for careers in the fields of professional audio engineering and music
production. This qualification reflects the role of individuals who possess a sound theoretical knowledge
base and use a range of specialised, technical or managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate
own work and/or that of a team.

Course Outline
This Diploma allows students to work at two festivals and study 16 Units which include:
· Refine aural-perception skills
· Design web environments
· Mix recorded music
· Record sound
· Perform advanced sound editing
· Develop and implement sound plans
· Record sound on location
· Specify, install and operate audio for an outdoor event
· Compile music for soundtracks
· Create a final sound balance
