The Certificate III in Aged Care incorporating Certificate III in Home and Community Care provides two nationally recognised qualifications for people wishing to work in personal care support in aged care services including residential and home care, working with people who have a disability and rehabilitation. Major study areas include orientation to the aged care industry, providing direct care support, dementia and palliative care.

The two qualifications are delivered in one course so that our graduates have broader employment opportunities. We also include Manual Handling, Safe Food Handling and First Aid training which are required to obtain work in the industry.

Job Pathways
On completion of the Certificate III in Aged Care and Certificate III in Home and Community Care graduates can pursue the many career opportunities in the Aged Care & Home & Community Care sector.  They may include:
• Care worker
• Care assistant
• Nursing assistant
• Personal care assistant
• Community support worker
