Geelong Small Business Festival

sbf_geelong

Diversitat is an official host of the Victorian Governments state wide Small Business Festival and part of over 40 events scheduled in the Geelong region in August this year. The Small Business Festival is targeted towards enterprise development and will attract those in business and those considering developing their own new business. Diversitat’s contribution to the festival is unique as it is targeted towards CALD communities and new and emerging communities. Diversitat is the only not for profit charitable organisation as a provider and this has certainly attracted the interest of the Department of Business and Innovation. As part of the development of local events, Diversitat is also an integral part of the working group held by the City of Greater Geelong and other key host providers to promote local activities.

The workshop covers critical elements for business success and is delivered by 4 professional presenters who are donating their time to assist with the workshops. They have vast experience and knowledge in not only avoiding the pitfalls but also the key pathways for success and growth. Equally as important, how to keep motivated and networked. Starting a new business is a big step but done effectively can only be challenging but very rewarding the presenters said.

Diversitat's free workshops will be delivered on the 4th and the 11th of August from 9.30 am till 2.30 PM at 94.7 The Pulse, 68 – 70 Little Ryrie St, Geelong and includes morning tea and a light lunch. All events in the festival will be listed in the Herald Sun on the 12th of July with an expected circulation of 2.4 million, a website link at www.business.vic.gov.au and a free APP download available mid July. Diversitats involvement is exciting and innovative and will link well with its programs such as training and education and its Job Services employment division.
