Diversitat produces, develops and supports locally produced arts activities within diverse communities and brings these to mainstream audiences in an innovative, exciting, and contemporary way.

The main activity of the Arts & Events unit is Pako Festa, a multicultural street festival attracting thousands of participants and visitors. Pako Festa is traditionally held on the last Saturday of February.

In addition, we work with local film, theatre, schools and community groups on a variety of projects.

Pako Festa 2011 saw unprecedented numbers flocking to enjoy the celebration. Police estimated that attendance was up by approximately 10% from the previous year and that over the courtse of the day about 110,000 people came to see the event.
