The Community Partners Project aims to promote and facilitate increased and sustained access by culturally and linguistically diverse communities with significant aged care needs to federal aged care support services in the City of Greater Geelong and Borough of Queenscliffe. Some of the activities of this project include: • Consultations with local ethnic communities. • Support and training regarding CALD issues to aged care providers. • Information seminars for aged care providers. • Information sessions for CALD communities. • Developing a booklet of aged care services in the region which will be translated into 5 community languages. • Cross Cultural training to aged care students. • Developing information packages regarding needs of communities in the region.
