Friday Drive 4pm – 6pm on 94.7 the Pulse

Doug Aiton, currently host of the Friday Drive programme on the Pulse is one of the best-known and most respected interviewers in Melbourne, both on radio and in print. For 10 years he was the popular and high-rating host of 3LO's "Drive Time" programme.

When The Sunday Age was launched in 1989, Doug contributed a weekly 2000-word interview, "Conversations", an in depth profile of famous people—which has led to the publication of two books. He currently contributes to the Geelong Advertiser with a weekly profile story.
Doug has had considerable experience in the three different corridors of the print, visual and aural media. With an impressive journalistic background, beginning with his cadetship at the Melbourne Herald, he has worked for The Age, The London Times and The Bulletin.

Whether he is speaking about his experiences in the world of media—it's differences and difficulties—or life at The Times, or perhaps sharing the fascinating anecdotes of the most interesting people he has interviewed—such as Barry Humphries, Spike Milligan, James Stewart, Sir Robert Helpmann, Bob Hawke and Sophia Loren - Doug Aiton's programs are always popular with his audiences.
