Thanks to the Geelong English Language Centre (GELC), the Diversitat Northern Community Hub will shortly have 15 pieces of unique stencil art, many completed by the children of our clients, on semi-permanent display in its hallways.

The Hub hosted the launch of GELC's Artists in Schools program last month which saw 43 students from Years Seven to 10 from countries including Burma, Thailand, Afghanistan and the Congo took part in the project under the guidance of stencil artist Sonia Tomasiello.

Excited students and their families attended the launch which included the presentation of individual pieces of stencil art and a mural that will go on permanent display at GELC. Diversitat is proud to provide exhibition space for the many different styles of stencil art completed by the students. Some of the works will also be displayed at Barwon Health.
