During the September school holidays Diversitat hosted 3 outings in conjunction with Parks Victoria with the Active in Parks Program. These saw attendees travel to Serendip Wildlife Sanctuary, the You Yangs and Balyang Sanctuary (Barwon River Parklands). During these fun and educational outings Karen, Karenni, Congolese and Afghani clients attended and were given guided tours of each of the locations by Parks Victoria.

It was a wonderful opportunity for these new arrivals to Australia to experience Australia’s Native Flora and Fauna and to showcase some of the local parklands and wetlands. A fun day was had by all who and many wanted to visit again. A big thankyou to Parks Victoria for not only offereing such a great program but for provided a BBQ & Picnic lunch.
