Two bilingual workes hosted the program that was attended by 30 children which saw full use made of The Hub computer lab while they explored various games, drawing competitions and other activities aimed at boosting their English skills. Simultaneously their parents attended English classes based around CALD childcare and family health topics. This inaugural program was designed in response to the Federal Government's decision to discontinue the payment of holding fees for AMEP childcare places during holiday periods unless the student attends holiday English classes. |
Diversitat AMEP hosted its first holiday program for school aged children during the September school holidays in conjunction with bilingual English classes for their parents. The program's lauch with a pizza lunch for the children was a definite winner!
