On Friday 7th October Pako Festa's Carmen Miranda began her search to find 30 Carmen helpers for the 2012 30th Anniversary Pako Festa. The original Carmen was born in Portugal and her family settled in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, when she was just 10 months old. If she were with us, Carmen would have earlier this year celebrated her 102th birthday! Looking back at the events history it has been over 16 years since Carmen became the face of Pako Festa, and next year 30 Carmen's will lead the Great Pako Festa Parade adding amazing colour and sound as the shake their maracas along the parade route.

A huge thanks to all that came and dressed for the occasion! 20 people have registered to participate so far and as Carmen shimmies her way around geelong over the next 3 months she will search for the remaining 10.
