On Saturday 28th April on a cold stormy night, over a hundred people were packed into the Geelong West Town Hall for the Pako Festa Gala Fundraising Ball. It was the first of it's kind and providing a great opportunities for the supporters of Pako Festa and Diversitat to come along for a fun filled evening in the hope of keeping Pako Festa alive.

The food was fantastic, and Truffleduck did such a wonderful job to fill all belly's. As the wine flowed the auction started with fun items such as a Melbourne Victory signed soccer ball to theatrical items and tickets to shows.

Thank you too all of our supporters and sponsors for without them Pako Festa would not be the same.

Please join our Women’s Craft Circle for a 2 hour taster in "Wet Felting” on the 12^th of May and ‘Basket Weaving” on May 26^th.  Tasters run from 1-3pm at Wholedfoods Café and cost $20, please register by calling 5221 6044.

As part of the senior schools 2012 theatre education program two of our young Karen teenagers will represent their community, school and Diversitat as part of the Take Over program this month. As part of the program the girls have been rehearsing with Robyn Martinez to put together a performance piece out at the Hub. Suzanne Cooper has overseen the project as part of the well being program.

Take over and Act up will be held over three nights at the Geelong Performing Arts Centre. A one off performance by Rosie and Dah Poe will be held on Tuesday 29^th May in the Drama theatre.
